About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
The HÅG Balans ergonomic kneeling chair represents a significant development in Scandinavian seating design. This specific model features the distinctive Z-shaped tubular frame that defines the Balans concept, encouraging an active and open posture. Constructed with a continuous chromed steel frame, the chair supports a seat and knee rest upholstered in black textile. The base of the seat reveals a wooden structural panel, while the knee rest is secured with a visible zipper closure. The manufacturer's mark 'HÅG BALANS' is clearly stamped into the circular metal hardware connecting the knee rest to the frame. The chair remains in good, fully functional condition. The structural integrity of the tubular steel frame is preserved, and the upholstery retains its deep black colourway. This piece is highly suited to contemporary home offices or creative workspaces. Its sculptural profile allows it to function both as a practical ergonomic tool and a striking example of late twentieth-century industrial design.
