This table lamp is a design by Bruno Gecchelin for the renowned Italian manufacturer Harvey Guzzini, produced in the 1970s. The model, known by the names Cigno or Wing, is a representative example of the progressive Italian lighting design of that period.
The construction consists of a weighted round base made of black plastic, from which a slender, curved chrome arm emerges. At the end of this arm is the characteristic black slatted shade that encloses the light source. The contrast between the glossy chrome and the deep black elements emphasizes the streamlined aesthetic of the design. The lamp offers focused light, making the fixture particularly suitable as a reading lamp or accent lighting.
The object is in functional condition with an authentic character. The original finish has been preserved. The wiring is equipped with a switch.
This fixture comes into its own perfectly in a modernist or eclectic interior. Placed on a desk, a sideboard, or a side table, the lamp adds a distinct graphic element to the room.
