Product description
This is a vintage Mona pendant lamp, designed by Luigi Massoni, released in the sixties by the Italian manufacturer Guzzini. The piece is a characteristic example of the Space Age era, known for its futuristic shapes and innovative use of materials.
The lamp has a striking construction with a chrome-plated metal wire cage enclosing a new central spherical diffuser of white glass. A top reflector, also made of chrome, completes the design and contributes to the unique light distribution. The combination of the open structure and the opal glass provides a soft, diffuse light that is atmospheric without being dazzling. The wiring is black and the new ceiling rose is made of matching metal.
This lighting object is in good overall condition, retaining its original components and finish. The chrome work shows a patina consistent with its age, which adds to the authentic character of the lamp. The lamp is functional and ready for installation.
