Product description
Gunni Omann For Omann Jun – Model 19 Highboard In Teak Beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved Model 19 Highboard, designed by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun in Denmark. This characteristic piece of furniture dates from the 1960s and is made of beautiful teak, where the warm color and beautiful grain structure of the wood are fully expressed. The cabinet is a fine example of refined Danish design from this period. The four large sliding doors have a calm, sleekly designed front, in which the characteristic sculpturally shaped wooden handles are beautifully integrated. The slender, tapered legs and the subtly rounded shapes of the cabinet also give the whole an elegant and balanced appearance. Behind the four sliding doors is a very practical and versatile layout. On the left side are six shallow drawers, ideal for, for example, crockery, cutlery or documentation. On the right side is a spacious cabinet space with multiple shelves. Behind the two middle sliding doors there is also a generous storage space with shelves. The combination of drawers, spacious compartments and closed storage space makes this Highboard particularly practical for daily use. The furniture is in exceptionally beautiful and very well-preserved condition, both externally and internally. The teak has a beautiful, warm appearance with a lovely natural patina that perfectly matches the age and character of the furniture. The very minor signs of wear are appropriate for its age and contribute to its authentic character, without affecting the high-quality appearance of this special Highboard. A particularly beautiful and moreover generous execution of a recognizable design by Gunni Omann, in which high-quality material selection, refined detailing, functionality and typical Danish design beautifully come together. The teak is also provided with our low-maintenance protective coating, which protects the surface against the influences of grease, dirt and moisture, without detracting from the character of the original material.
