The IKEA GULLHOLMEN rocking chair was born when designer Maria Vinka was in Asia and discovered banana leaves as a material. Thus was born this chair, which was part of Ikea's design collection from 2002 to 2010. It has therefore been given a place in Ikea's museum in Sweden.
This chair looks great in your (kids) room, conservatory or greenhouse! It's comfortable (the narrow back supports your spine and shoulder blades), even if you don't feel like rocking....
The chair is in good condition but because it is a natural material, some weathering spots can be seen. It has also shrunk a bit and the woven banana leaf at the beginning of the back is a bit less dense. No problem for a vintage item right?
