The Gufram Cactus is more than just a sculptural coat stand - it is a statement. Created in 1972 by Italian designers Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, the Gufram Cactus embodies the rebellious spirit of radical design. At a time when functionality dominated furniture design, Gufram deliberately broke with convention and created an object that inspires with irony, color and pop art aesthetics.
Made from elastic polyurethane foam and hand-painted in vibrant green, each Gufram Cactus is unique. The textured surface is reminiscent of the natural shape of a real cactus, while the exaggerated coloring and soft feel create a surreal effect.
