About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a characteristic vintage rug from the Space Age era, crafted with a striking high-pile texture. The piece is defined by its vibrant, graphic pattern that immediately evokes the aesthetics of the 1970s.
The rug features a rich and warm color palette, with concentric circles in shades of orange, red, and pink contrasting with a deep brown base and border. The high-pile, or 'shag', construction provides a lush texture and tangible depth. This type of design and material use is characteristic of the interior trends of the Space Age period, where texture and bold patterns were central.
The rug is in very good vintage condition, which attests to careful use over the years. The colors are still bright and the pile is full, retaining its authentic appearance and comfort. The overall condition is consistent with the age of the object.
With its substantial size of 290 x 190 cm, this rug is an ideal statement piece to anchor a seating area in a living room. It immediately adds warmth, color, and a retro element to an interior and fits perfectly with both Mid-Century Modern and eclectic and Bohemian living styles.
