Product description
Particularly beautiful and richly detailed bronze statue of Green Tara (Shyama Tara), a beloved female bodhisattva within Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing compassion, protection, and overcoming obstacles. The statue is made of patinated bronze with a gold-colored face (Gold Face), gold-colored hands and jewelry, a richly decorated crown, and beautiful blue and red color accents. Tara sits on a richly decorated lotus throne, with her right leg extended forward. This posture symbolizes her readiness to help others. Her right hand displays the varada mudra, the gesture of generosity and bestowing blessings. The left hand makes a symbolic gesture and holds a flower stem. Graceful lotus flowers are visible on either side of her shoulders. The underside is closed with a metal base plate, featuring a double vajra motif (visvavajra), a traditional Buddhist symbol for stability and indestructibility. The combination of warm bronze patina, gold-colored details, and refined ornaments gives the statue a particularly decorative appearance. Material: Patinated bronze Depiction: Green Tara (Shyama Tara), probable identification Style: Tibetan-Nepalese Height: 22.5 cm Width at base: 13 cm Weight: 1,061 grams Condition: Good condition with patina and visible traces on the painting.
