Product description
A magnificent, large vintage Greek porcelain vase (jug model / Hydria) by the renowned Greek manufacturer Lambrou Bros S.A.
The vase has a deep, glossy dark blue/black color and is richly decorated with hand-painted classical Greek scenes and mythological figures. The details and edges are beautifully finished with real 24-carat gold leaf.
The shape is that of a traditional hydria, a water jug from Greek antiquity, with a characteristic high handle and a refined spout. The golden details include figurative scenes and geometric patterns such as the Greek key border.
