The ceramic vase was made in the 1960s in Denmark.
A decorative ceramic vase with a compact, pleasantly plump shape and a distinctly ‘functional-design’ character typical of the 1960s and 1970s. The whole piece is covered in a light glaze in a creamy grey shade with delicate speckles, giving it a natural, slightly artisanal look. The body is broken up by a horizontal band in darker brown tones, with striking, hand-painted streaks – this gives the vase a stronger visual accent and a retro feel. The form is very harmonious: a stable base, a rounded body and a delicately contoured neck mean it looks great both on its own and when paired with other ceramic pieces. It is the perfect addition to mid-century modern, retro and rustic interiors, as well as to Japandi-style arrangements and natural, understated spaces. A very charming piece of vintage ceramics – a calm colour scheme, interesting details and a classic period design.
