About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Floor lamp features a slender, architectural tripod chassis engineered from black lacquered iron. The aluminum shade is finished in a vibrant, era-authentic textured red lacquer, creating a typographic contrast against the minimalist black tripod frame. The expressive 'Grasshopper' or 'Sprinkhaan' insectoid silhouette was pioneered by innovative Dutch modernist manufacturers such as Van Doorn and Hala Zeist during the post-war reconstructed design era. Suited for placement as a reading light alongside a mid-century lounge chair or desk arrangement. Very Good. Light oxidation and minor pitting to the adjustable brass arm consistent with age. Opaque black paint finish on the tripod leg assembly is well-preserved.
