Large vintage ceramic trout in Hubert Bequet style
Description:
Magnificent vintage earthenware sculpture depicting a rainbow trout leaping from a wave. A superb retro and kitsch decorative piece from the 1950s / 1960s, ideal for a cabinet of curiosities, seaside decoration, or for fishing enthusiasts.
• Style / Attribution: Identical model to the creations of the famous Belgian manufacturer H. Bequet Quaregnon (iconic model of the earthenware factory).
• Finish: Superb iridescent polychrome glaze with metallic and pearlescent reflections characteristic of the era.
• Dimensions: Length approximately 36 cm. Maximum height between 23cm and 24 cm. Base width approximately 12 cm
• Mark: Unsigned on the base (very common for these productions which initially had a simple paper label or an ink stamp that faded over time).
• Condition: very good condition apart from a small chip on the dorsal fin. See photo
