Product description
Large German desk or architect lamp from the 1980s, attributed to May & Christe GmbH. Very beautiful construction in off-white lacquered metal, mounted on a wide weighted circular base. The double articulated arm is spring-balanced and allows for many positions. The lamp head itself is adjustable. The joints, particularly graphic, are punctuated by white knobs with a red dot, a characteristic detail that gives a lot of personality to the lamp. Compact fluorescent lighting PL 11 W, with integrated May & Christe ballast. Original label present. Maximum height: approx. 104 cm. The lamp works. It retains its old finish with traces of use and a patina consistent with its age: some marks on the paint and traces of oxidation on the reflector. See photographs. A large work lamp with a very successful industrial design, as interesting on a desk as it is as an accent light in a contemporary interior. Period: 1980s Origin: Germany Manufacturer: May & Christe GmbH Materials: lacquered metal, chrome-plated metal/reflector, plastic Light source: PL 11 W Condition: good vintage condition, functional Max.
