Large vintage ceramic bowl or salad bowl, emblematic of the Fat Lava style of the 1960s/70s. This piece stands out for its generous dimensions and its sculptural, mineral appearance.
Its wide rim is elegantly crafted with three small, handcrafted pinches that give it an organic shape.
The interior features a "volcanic" glaze in shades of ochre and amber with a fascinating cellular texture.
The exterior displays a deep chocolate glaze, highlighted by thick, raised white and gold drips.
Red terracotta base, typical of West German manufacturers.
A piece in very good condition with generous proportions: 29 cm in diameter, 15 cm high, and weighing 1644g.
