Product description
Large glazed faience wall plate, decorated with a radiant floral and geometric pattern in rich colors.
The composition is organized around a central rosette, surrounded by punctuated palmettes and concentric friezes. Luminous turquoise dominates, highlighted by thick black outlines and touches of violet and yellow-green. The reddish-brown reverse retains traces of turning and bears a handwritten inscription in Arabic characters, the reading of which remains uncertain.
The palette, the red clay, and the ornamental vocabulary suggest a Moroccan artisanal production from the second half of the 20th century. An origin in Safi is conceivable, but no marking allows for formal identification of a workshop.

Satisfactory vintage condition. Small scratches, scuffs, and occasional glaze deficiencies, particularly on the decoration and the rim. A fine surface line is visible on the front. The foot has a hole fitted with an old metal suspension wire.
A generous decorative piece, ideal on a wall, a console, or in an interior with Mediterranean influences.
