Product description
The Gosmet Bydgoszcz rotating serving tray is a distinctive piece of Polish functional design from the 1970s. Manufactured during the PRL era by the Gosmet Craft Cooperative, this serving platter exemplifies the era's approach to practical yet decorative homeware.
The tray features a metal base with a smooth rotating mechanism, designed for serving cakes, fruit, or snacks. Beneath the glass top, a decorative insert in a deep burgundy hue displays an intricate white pattern reminiscent of traditional lace. Small tabs along the metal rim facilitate easy rotation and ensure stability. The piece measures 4 cm in height, 32 cm in width, and 31 cm in depth.
This serving tray remains in good condition, with the rotating mechanism operating smoothly. The glass top and metal rim retain their structural integrity, preserving the item's original character.
This vintage tray serves as a functional centrepiece for a dining table or kitchen island. It complements mid-century modern interiors and appeals to collectors of 1970s Eastern European design.
