Magnificent basket / catch-all from the late 19th century, typical of the Jugendstil movement that originated in Germany in the 1890s.
Made of gilded metal, it features a remarkable and characteristic aesthetic of this period: a stunning woman's face with flowing hair, surrounded by ornamental motifs of foliage, berries, and mistletoe. A true testament to German artistic craftsmanship from the Belle Époque, perfect for lovers of authentic antiques.

Handle: Movable, functional, and also gilded.
Condition:
In beautiful vintage condition with a superb old patina. There are signs of oxidation and use beneath the gilding that testify to its 130 years of history and add to its charm (please closely examine the photos from above and below).
