A nice set of tableware with fruit decor, designed by Piet the Jong for Royal Goedewaagen around 1961.
Made of faience and hand painted, with some evident decor variations.
The set contains (dimensions in cm)
- two tall serving dishes (h 11.5, diam 17 / with handles 21)
- one low serving dish (h 6.5, d 17 / 21)
- one fruit dish with draining holes (h 7, d 16)
- two lids that fit on any of the serving dishes, and can also be used as underplate for the fruit dish (h 3.5, d 17 / 21)
They are all in a very good state, without any chips or cracks. The small raw dots on the bottom are from fabrication. The glaze is beautiful and shiny; one of the tall dishes has some craquelure, hardly visible.
Note: I do not think they are microwave or dishwasher proof.
