This beautiful Goedewaagen "Athens" coffee service, presented on a matching tray, dates from 1949 and was designed by the Dutch artist Zweitse Landsheer. The soft mint and cream colors and the minimalist design were daring at the time. This line was produced in limited quantities and is therefore rare today.
The set consists of 5 cups, 6 saucers, a milk jug, a coffee pot, and a sugar bowl.
Everything looks good except for the lid of the sugar bowl, which has a crack.
The coffee pot is 20 cm high, while the cups, sugar bowl, and milk jug are 8 cm. The diameter of the saucers is 15 cm.
The unbranded tray matches the service perfectly in terms of color and design. It features a ceramic top with a silver-colored metal rim, sturdy handles, and subtle feet.
