Glashütte Limburg table lamp, 1960s
Rare table lamp by Glashütte Limburg (Germany) from the 1960s. The lamp features a hand-blown clear glass globe with a bubble structure, set in a sleek padouk wood frame with carved details. The combination of glass and wood gives the lamp a distinctly mid-century modern look.
Features an LED mirror bulb for atmospheric, glare-free lighting. The lamp has been professionally inspected and fitted with a new cord, switch, and plug.
Glashütte Limburg collaborated with various designers during this period, including Helena Tynell (1918–2016), who made bubble glass an iconic element in German design from 1963 onward.
