Typical of the 70s, this coffee table… almost brutalist.
On the one hand, a restrained object, but one that always continues to draw attention upon closer inspection.
A 12mm thick tempered and polished glass plate held in place at the four corners by cast bronze fittings.
The legs consist of round steel rod material with a silver-grey finish.
Known under model number T24.
The 60x60cm square glass plate is completely intact, without chips; upon closer inspection, a few minimal scratches.
We deliberately did not polish the metal, as is (unfortunately) done with most other similar tables by Peter Ghyczy.
In beautiful vintage condition, therefore.
Peter Ghyczy, (1940-2022): German designer of Hungarian descent, resided in the Netherlands. Dimensions:
