Authentic Glass sculpture by Antoine Pierini (Biot) – Hand-blown & Cold-cut
For sale: A beautiful and rare studio glass art piece by the internationally renowned French master glassblower Antoine Pierini (working in the famous artist village of Biot, Côte d'Azur).
This massive crystal object is entirely hand-blown and then cold-cut (verre soufflé et taillé à froid). The piece is hand-signed by the artist (A. Pierini) on the side/base.
The design comes from his acclaimed form studies (related to the Vestiges Contemporains series), in which Pierini reinterprets the layering and texture of archaeological finds and sediments in modern glass. The exterior has a unique, rough layered structure, while the core lights up with an intense, deep ruby red/crimson glow as soon as light passes through it.
