Product description
This is a vintage wall or ceiling lamp, designed by the Finnish designer Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Glashutte Limburg. The piece is a characteristic example of 1970s lighting design, famous for its organic shapes and the use of textured glass.
The lamp is made of thick, amber-colored pressed glass with a concentric, wavy pattern reminiscent of ripples in water or a fingerprint. This design creates a beautifully diffused and warm light effect when the lamp is on. The fixture was designed in West Germany and can be flexibly used as both wall and ceiling lighting, depending on the desired application in the space.
This specific item is 'New Old Stock' (NOS), meaning it is an original vintage item that has never been used. The lamp is in new condition and comes with the original, unused mounting plate and wiring, as shown in the photos. The original cardboard box is also present, confirming the authenticity and unused condition of the item.
Due to its timeless aesthetic and warm appearance, this lamp fits perfectly into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian to more eclectic decors. It can serve as an atmospheric accent in a hallway, living room, or bedroom, either individually or in a group for a larger visual statement.
