About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This Pianolampje is a table lamp based on the original design by J.J.P. Oud from 1927, issued by the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and Giso lamps. The lamp is made of metal with a brushed finish and has a cylindrical light source and a spherical detail. The cylinder with the light is - according to the design principles of De Stijl - asymmetrically attached.
As a counterbalance, a solid ball at the other end of the tube ensures perfect balance. The whole resembles an ingenious bascule.
It is copy 083/250 from the "Museum Editions" series.
Purchased through the Haags Gemeentemuseum, still in the guilder era.
Certificate present.
