Gispen metal storage unit 5600, designed by Andre Cordemeyer for Gispen. The first version was called model 663 and was designed in 1954 by Wim Rietveld. Andre Cordemeyer improved the 663 to the 5600 system in 1959. A very modern industrial cabinet for its time, it can be used as storage furniture, a bookcase, a desk, and/or a display unit. This 1967 cabinet has a green flap, white and gray sliding doors, and three white drawers. These cabinets can be combined into one larger cabinet, are fully demountable, and can be arranged to your preference. The cabinet still includes the original instructions, brochure, invoice from 1967, and color chart.
This cabinet measures 135 cm high, 220 cm wide, and 36 cm deep. This unit can be combined or expanded with my other Gispen 5600 cabinet.
In good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use.
