Purchased from Galerie van Eijck in 2005. 100 x 120 cm. Acrylic on linen.
Gino Sauerbier (1969) studied at the Rotterdam Art Academy in the early 1990s. After several years of graphic design, he switched to advertising. After some experiments in advertising, Gino decided to devote himself completely to painting. Sauerbier's paintings show how he would like to see the world: full of joy, colors, magic and the unexpected. Unfortunately, Western reality is often the opposite. That is why he is inspired by distant peoples and primitive tribes. There are many references to nature in his work. The fishing world especially intrigues him.
