Product description
This is a Gesto Wall Lamp, designed by Bruno Gecchelin for the Italian manufacturer Skipper during the 1970s. The piece is a notable example of Italian modernist lighting, defined by its elegant, sculptural silhouette and functional design. Its elongated, curved form makes it a distinctive and refined lighting solution. The lamp is constructed with two parallel arms of chrome-plated metal, which extend in a graceful arc from a circular wall-mounted base. These arms support an adjustable head, allowing the light to be directed as needed. The base and shade are finished in a clean white, contrasting with the reflective chrome. This piece measures 82 cm in height, 19 cm in width, and has a depth of 156 cm, reflecting its significant and expressive scale. This vintage lamp presents in a very good condition, consistent with its age and careful use. The chrome finish retains its high polish and the white components are well-preserved, showcasing the quality of its original Italian manufacturing. The overall structure is sound and the design's integrity is fully intact. The Gesto Lamp is well-suited for placement as a reading light beside an armchair or bed, or as an architectural accent in a living space or study. Its clean lines and combination of materials complement interiors styled with Mid-Century Modern, Italian Design, or minimalist aesthetics.
