Product description
A striking piece of German Mid-Century Modern decorative Brutalism. Originally conceived as high-end architectural hardware (an entry door pull), this piece functions beautifully today as an independent, vertical wall sculpture or relief art object.
• Design Period: 1960s – 1970s.
• Country of Origin: West Germany.
• Material: Heavy thick cast aluminium alloy with an anodized bronzed/copper finish.
• Dimensions: 88 Cm (Height) x 20 Cm (Width) x 7 Cm (Depth).
• Aesthetic & Technique: Typical Brutalist raw materiality.
The rough, dark patinated texture of the sand-casting method contrasts beautifully with the warm copper-toned highlights of the raised geometric arches and dots.
A remarkably slender and elegant abstract composition that creates a powerful graphic presence, casting subtle plays of light and shadow depending on its placement. Perfect for Mid-Century Modern, industrial, or Brutalist art collectors.
