This characterful pine chest from rural southern Germany, dated 1842, is a special piece with a romantic history: it was once given as a wedding gift. The chest is hand-painted in vibrant, warm colors. The images depict a mother and child, and a floral motif representing fertility. Both the original hinges and lock are still present, underscoring its authenticity. Inside, there are three shelves, a hanging rail, and coat hooks.
