This sofa was only produced between 1956 - 1967. It has become very hard to find. A luxurious item with a timeless design.
It is a American Mid-Century Modernism icon that is out of production for about 50 years. Designed by the famous George Nelson Office. Nelson was head of (director of) design at the Herman Miller company at that time.
The sofa is a three seater. It is filled with down, which makes it sit nice and soft, very comfortable, and gives the cushions the possibility to develop those lovely creases.
Like a typical mid-century item, it is fairly small. For reference, see the photos I made of the 1960 Herman Miller (dealer) catalogue, that also state it's dimensions.
Sofa is in a good, clean, honest/original/unrestored and perfectly useable condition. It has 60 years of age and use, so there is obvious wear of the leather here and there. The big parts of the cushions, the seating and the back, are totally fine, but on the corners, and sides of the cushions and the corners of the sofa, there are small damages, traces of use. Most of the wear , I'd say, is on (some parts-) of the piping on the cushions. Please see all the photos. They give a good impression of the condition.
