Bring age and charm to your interior with this beautiful English country George III chest of drawers. This so-called Chest on Chest is a unique and extremely practical piece of furniture that offers a wealth of storage space thanks to its numerous drawers.
The chest consists of two removable chests of drawers, one on top of the other – a design that harks back to the time when the chest was the precursor to the cupboard. "Chest on Chest" means "chest on chest" and emphasizes the clever storage solution.
The chest is in original condition with beautiful brass fittings and elegant details. Over the years, it has developed a beautiful patina that contributes to its characterful appearance. All eight drawers are lockable, and the chest comes with two keys.
Because the original locks were missing or no longer working, they have been replaced. This is the only non-authentic aspect of this chest, which still gives it plenty of authenticity and character.
