About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is a sculptural object defined by its strong geometric form and natural material. The piece is crafted from a solid block of travertine, featuring a carved, stepped arch that creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.
The sculpture is rendered in travertine, a form of limestone known for its porous texture and warm, earthy tones. Its substantial, block-like presence is softened by the smooth, concave interior curve. The natural beige and cream coloration of the stone ensures it complements a wide range of palettes. The object's design allows it to function as a standalone decorative piece or as a distinctive bookend on a shelf or console.
The piece is in excellent condition, presenting as new. The characteristic pits and voids visible on the surface are not imperfections but are inherent to the natural formation of travertine stone, giving each piece a unique and organic character. The finish is matte and unpolished, highlighting the raw texture of the material.
With its architectural and minimalist aesthetic, this sculpture is well-suited for interiors ranging from Organic Modern and Brutalist to contemporary Scandinavian. Placed on a bookshelf, side table, or desk, it adds a touch of textural sophistication and sculptural interest to the space.
