A fine geometric work by the Swiss artist Heijo Hangen from 1974. The rigorously minimalist composition combines clear graphic forms with a serene, almost architectural use of color. Two abstracted mountain forms in blue, gray, and black stand in striking contrast to the light background, lending the work a minimalist, constructive aesthetic characteristic of concrete and geometric art of the 1970s.
The work is hand-signed, dated, and numbered "18/50," making it a limited edition. The original framing, with its silver-colored wooden frame and deep passe-partout, is particularly striking, further emphasizing the graphic effect and giving the artwork an elegant gallery feel.
