Rare genuine Vistosi “Palms” chandelier in Murano glass, Italy, circa 1970s. A striking and highly decorative example of vintage Italian lighting, composed of six elongated palm-shaped Murano glass leaves arranged around a warm brass-toned structure. The sculptural leaves are made in white Murano glass with distinctive dark edging, creating the dramatic graphic silhouette associated with the Vistosi Palms series. Their elegant upward movement gives the chandelier an almost botanical, architectural quality — somewhere between a palm, a flower and a piece of glass sculpture. This is an especially attractive compact six-leaf version, fitted with four light sources. Larger Palms chandeliers are more commonly encountered on the vintage market, making this smaller configuration particularly interesting for collectors and interiors where a substantial statement light is wanted without the scale of the very large multi-tier versions. The combination of luminous white glass, dark outlining and golden metal makes the chandelier equally suited to Mid-Century Modern, Italian Modern, Hollywood Regency, eclectic and contemporary interiors.
