Product description
This vintage armchair was designed by the renowned Dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie for the manufacturer Gelderland. The design combines an inviting, comfortable shape with a sleek, modernist base, resulting in a timeless piece of furniture that reflects the essence of Dutch Design.
The chair is upholstered in a textured fabric in a neutral beige shade, offering a warm and understated appearance. The seat and backrest feature subtle button tufting, contributing to the visual character and seating comfort. The piece rests on a swivel, chrome-plated star base, which provides stability and forms an elegant contrast with the soft upholstery.
The furniture is in good condition, commensurate with its age and previous use. The original upholstery and chrome base have retained their structural integrity, ensuring the armchair remains fully functional while preserving its authentic character.
This Gelderland armchair looks excellent in a modern, Scandinavian, or vintage-inspired interior. It is a versatile piece that makes a stylish and comfortable addition to both a living room and a reading nook. We are open by appointment on Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00.
