Gaetano Sciolari chandelier with chrome and aluminum, Italy, circa 1970s. This is a beautiful chandelier designed by Angelo Gaetano Sciolari in Italy in the 1970s. It consists of lamp sockets in frosted glass cubes and combines chrome and brushed aluminum. The structure is made up of chrome-plated octagons connected by an aluminum bridge. The combination has a feel reminiscent of both Space Age and Brutalism. The chandelier emits a pleasant and atmospheric light. The lamps are fitted with standard E14 sockets and can also be used with LEDs (photos with 9 x 250 lm warm white). It has been cleaned, is fully functional, and ready for use. The aluminum frame is in good condition with only a slight patina. The glass cubes are completely intact without cracks or chips. The chrome-plated parts have some minor blisters in places and three small, pepper-grain-sized chrome defects (see photos). Photos. It measures 45 x 45 x 80 cm in height. For shipping, the chandelier can be disassembled; the pendant rod will be unscrewed and the glass shades individually packaged for easy transport. However, collection is preferred. Please note that due to its 220V operation, its suitability for use must be confirmed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current regulations.
