Functionalist Wardrobe, Prague, 1930s
Original functionalist wardrobe from a Prague apartment, dating to the 1930s.
The piece is an authentic example of Czech interwar functionalism, combining restrained geometry with refined practical details.
The wardrobe has been lightly restored, preserving its original exterior lacquer and original interior finish. The construction remains fully original, including the interior layout with hanging rail and shelving, as well as the integrated mirror.
The exterior features a minimalist composition with subtle metal detailing and elevated metal feet, characteristic of high-quality Central European functionalist furniture of the period.
