An artistic fruit bowl made of artistic glass, produced in the 1960s, Italian manufacture.
An impressive sculptural form made of layered glass, in shades of smoky purple and colourless crystal. Subtle lines and a dynamic shape with rising arms create an elegant, almost architectural silhouette. Handmade using the sommerso technique, characteristic of Italian glass from the island of Murano, but also popular in Czech and Scandinavian art glass studios from the mid-century era. Ideal as a fruit bowl or centrepiece for the table, it combines functionality with artistic craftsmanship. A wonderful example of artistic glass from the mid-20th century.
Condition: The platter is preserved in its original condition and may show normal signs of use (minor scratches).
