Product description
Original Mosquito Chair (Mug, model 3105). 1955 design by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen for the Munkegaard school. Iconic Danish design. Seat shell of veneered and black lacquered bent plywood, mounted on matte steel base with rubber caps. This is the old version with metal cap under seat (marked FH - Danmark) and wooden mounting plate underneath, probably from the 1960s. The chair is in very decent condition with slight signs of use. Backrest is slightly weakened by cracks in the outer veneer, as is often the case with these chairs. But it remains a gem and is certainly still usable with care. Further light lacquer wear at the edges (see photos), but still very nice for its age.
