Born on March 13, 1944 in Tilburg and later The Hague, grew into an internationally recognized artist.
Participation in "De Vrije School" in The Hague stimulated his creative mind, interest and ability in the arts.
His early interest was fostered by private tutors such as Ed Stralitski, Theo Bitter, Wim Beuning, Bram Roth, Derk Bus and Jan Goeting. All renowned artist members of the "Pulchri Studio", home of the famous "The Hague School".
After his studies at the "Rietveld Academy" with Ben Guntenaar (sculptor), Frits was offered membership of the "Pulchri Studio" where he was involved in sculpting and painting. Frits was the first member to be admitted more than once in a discipline, which can be seen in the "3-D" quality
