This industrial coat rack is a design by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel from the 1960s. Earliest version, recognizable by the lugs under the cast iron base.
The functional and robust design makes this piece, just like the furniture by Gispen, a recognizable example of Dutch design from that period.
This black coat rack is crafted from a heavy cast iron base with a steel superstructure and features a circular umbrella stand and a rotating crown with 10 coat hooks.
The construction demonstrates the no-nonsense approach characteristic of Kramer's designs. The piece is in excellent condition, befitting its age and use.
