Superb coffee table composed of a metal sculpture and a glass top.
The metal sculpture represents a stag beetle / scarab in wrought iron, patinated brass and other various metals. The insect is covered in a verdigris / rust patina.
The top is a rectangular glass plate with rounded ends (safety glass, some scratches from use).
Midcentury Modern, France, circa 1970.
By François Melin ( ), French sculptor from Essonne, well known for his animal sculptures exhibited around the world.
In excellent condition, very nice patina.
Metals cleaned and waxed for good preservation of the patina.
