Product description
Imposing and impressive classical console in Louis XV style, with gold-leaf gilded wood and gesso, with a green veined marble top, circa early 20th century, France.
Gracious and elegant console, richly decorated with acanthus leaves and motifs, entirely in a classical style; the object bears a beautiful patina of age and use. The green marble top is supported by opposing C-shaped legs, connected by a centrally carved cross piece.
This object has weathered with character over the years; the whole piece is still very solid but shows signs of age and use appropriate for its age, such as discoloration and chips in the gesso, cracks due to age, and scratches on the marble top. However, the whole piece still looks fantastic; check the photos for more details!
