French Empire bedside table by E. Baroni, dating from the early 1800s. This beautiful French bedside table dates from the Empire period, circa 1800-1815, and is stamped on the back by E. Baroni. Unfortunately, little is known about this cabinetmaker, and so far we have only been able to find that he originated in Eastern France. It has two drawers, one of which has a working lock and its original key. Made of mahogany veneer over oak and bronze ornamentation, with some restorations throughout.
