Frans Drummen is a 73-year-old artist in Nijmegen. He works in the Krayenhoff barracks. About the objects 'bookcases' he writes the following on his website (www.fransdrummen.nl): "The order and sometimes chaos that you encounter with bookcases have inspired me to create a series of three-dimensional painting objects. Books are now becoming color objects and the rhythm of their bands and the horizontal and vertical lines of the book series give structure to the painting object."
