Mid-Century Modern French David Lange Lucite and Brass Design Magazine Rack, 1970s, Sleek, Transparent, Plexiglass, Acrylic Glass, Space Age
Beautiful large transparent Plexiglass/Lucite magazine rack from the mid-century, designed in the 1970s by David Lange for Roche Bobois, France. A one-piece, minimalist Bauhaus technique and Hollywood Regency-inspired design, it features two large, envelope-shaped transparent compartments within a U-shaped stand/base with a polished gold brass handle and brass hardware.
Excellent quality, solid, heavy, and sturdy, it accommodates many magazines, newspapers, books, records/vinyl, and even your rolled-up couch blankets.
This stand/rack is in excellent original vintage condition with only minor wear, some wear to the underside of the base and an occasional superficial scratch, and minimal patina on the brass, consistent with age and normal use.
No structural issues or defects and ready to use.
