Product description
Freedom
Unicum
Including polished Namur bluestone pedestal
Chantalle Smeets has developed a style all her own, which becomes visible in her sculptures of bronze, stone, ceramics and wood. Her source of inspiration is nature. Her art radiates in joie de vivre, strength and beauty, in its own and unique character. The stillness of her sculptures can offer a moment of introspection and peace, a touch of something greater beyond thought. That which nature can also offer us and the necessity of our connection to nature. She would like to share this through her art. Together with her partner and artist Martiene Stevens, they manage Art House Trobar. She has exhibited at various galleries and castles (also sculpture gardens) in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain and her sculptures increasingly travel throughout Europe, America and the Canary Islands.
