Product description
Rare signed prints by the Black American artist Frederick James Brown. This was one of a portfolio of four silkscreen prints depicting clowns. Each print is signed, titled and dated by the artist. The multicolour prints are printed onto heavy wove paper.
Frederick James Brown (1945-2012) was a New York City and Arizona-based American artist. Drawing from his African-American and Native American ancestry, and breadth of knowledge in art historical tradition, Brown's work engages with American history and music, the urban fabric, religion, and spirituality.
We have 4 of these prints titled 'Jules' available - We will also be listing the other three clowns from the same portfolio.
