Product description
Sculpture Composición de Tubos y esfera de bronce (Composition of Tubes and Bronze Sphere) by the Spanish artist Lorenzo Frechilla (1927-1990). This piece is a compelling example of abstract modernist sculpture from the 1970s, reflecting the minimalist and constructive movements of the era. The work is crafted in polished aluminum, forming a striking geometric composition of two stacked horizontal cylinders and a vertical base pillar. A small, central bronze sphere is nestled at the intersection of the elements, providing a subtle contrast in material and color. The polished surfaces of the aluminum cylinders create a dynamic play of light and reflections. The sculpture is mounted on its original square base, which is finished in a dark green velvet, offering a textural difference and a visual anchor to the metallic structure. The piece is signed and numbered 123/500 on the aluminum, affirming its authenticity and limited edition status. This work is a sober and elegant expression of volume and line, suitable for a sophisticated collection of 20th-century art and design.
