Hand-painted decorative plate from the Soldano Brothers (Fratelli Soldano) factory in Sciacca, Sicily, depicting the thermal baths of Sciacca with the inscription "Ricordo di Sciacca terme" or "Souvenir of the thermal baths of Sciacca." This ceramic piece, entirely hand-painted, depicts the front of the famous thermal center of Sciacca, known for its therapeutic virtues, now closed. It is then glazed entirely with a crackle effect. The design is inscribed "Ricordo di Sciacca Terme" as well as the signature "A. Soldano" for Alberto Soldano, who opened the factory with his twin brother in 1973. The back of the piece features the signature "F.lli Soldano Sciacca" as well as a metal hanging wire. The factory, still active today, is a point of interest for travelers who wish to learn the qualities of Italian majolica.
